I haven't done a fashion-y post in a long time. So here are some beautiful things, just for the sheer fun of it.

First off, this beautiful handmade sweater from Primoeza (found at Anais-- the picture is from Metrode's blog). It may be spring where you are, but it was actually snowing this morning and was 38° F when I went grocery-shopping in the afternoon. I could probably wear this until June. I'm not kidding.

Love these shoes. They are from Alexander Wang, pre-Fall 2011:

Perfect red wallet. From comme des garçons:

And I'm still obsessed with rings. Right now, it's this hammered silver band with a flush-set stone from Etsy artist 2TrickPony. I'll take the oxidized one with the raw diamond.

I've been following Building Block blog for quite some time. This young industrial designer has been playing with leather and experimenting with bag designs for a while; she now has a small line of beautiful bags that are available in a few shops. Pour Porter is one of the first to carry them:

and while you're over at Pour Porter, check out her blog. She asked me to do a guest post for her last year and it was a lot of fun.

Random things from here, there, and everywhere.

And this is just so weird but I love it:

This is Ana de Mendoza, Princess of Éboli (1540-1592). She lost an eye in a mock fencing duel when she was 14, and she spent her last 13 years in prison after (allegedly) revealing state secrets.

I want this dress (but you can't always get what you want):

Same goes for this bag:

Current obsessions, part one

Been spending more time in the studio lately and less online.

Here are a few things I'm a little obsessed with lately:

Linen. The real thing. I got one of these wonderful linen bath sheets for Christmas (previously seen in an "Etsy Finds" post). It's huge, it's soft, dries fast, and if I take care of it, it'll last forever. But now I want more linen things.

Like this apron from Fog Linen Work:

Or bed linens:

All things Scandinavian. I've had this one on and off ever since I was a teenager. One of these days I will go there, but in the meantime, I'm enjoying my private version of the Scandinavian aesthetic.
